We ask that you carefully read our terms and conditions of service.

The following terms and conditions together with the general information contained in this website form the basis of your contract with ANDEAN HOLIDAY & EXPEDITIONS (Operator) and apply to your reservation through this website / or directly by email. By paying your deposit, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance that covers accidents, medical expenses and emergency repatriation, including rescue and air ambulance. We also recommend that you cover cancellations and lost luggage. Email a copy/company name and policy number or bring the information with you when you come to our office.
2. RESERVATIONS OF TOURIST PACKAGES

The confirmation of the requested reservation will be informed through an e-mail indicating the contracted tourist service.

The confirmation of the services will proceed after having received your online reservation request and having received a guarantee deposit or full payment in the established periods.

The passenger will be contacted by the Tour Operator at the place of destination, who must identify himself with his passport or identity document and pay his balance in cash (if any) to start the provision of tourist services.

It is the responsibility of the passenger to provide reliable information in order to proceed with the reservations.

It is the passenger's responsibility to indicate their arrival and departure data with due anticipation.

In case the passenger requires pick-up from a specific place, other than the one published in the itinerary, he must coordinate it in advance to check the existence of additional charges.

If you purchase a tourist package with transportation, the passenger must show up with the required anticipation at the indicated check-in time at the boarding station of the bus company or at the airport, to collect their card or boarding ticket and check in. . There is no responsibility on the part of the company if the passenger loses the ticket for reasons beyond the control of the company, such as delays, delays in queues, not checking in or others.

All ticket reservations are personal and non-transferable, non-endorsable and non-refundable. Likewise, they are under the cancellation policies of the transport company.

After the client has received his confirmation by mail or any other means of communication, he has a period of no more than 48 hours after receiving it to make any observations. It is understood that if the client has not made observations in that period or has already begun to enjoy the contracted services, the company assumes compliance on the part of the client.

It is the responsibility of the client to pay the advance or the balances of the contracted service within the established deadlines, if they are not met, the company reserves the right to cancel the reservation without refunds.

3. PAYMENTS

Full or partial payment of your reservation is required to confirm the dates. Accept to make the payment through credit card, debit, Yape, Plin, and Interbank Transfer (Payment at the national level). The amount debited will be the amount shown on your ticket or invoice through the aforementioned means. This will be charged to your card in the amount shown or converted to your local currency by your credit card company.

Depending on the booking currency, the currency of your credit card, and the country in which your card was issued, your credit card provider may impose foreign exchange and other fees in accordance with your agreements with that provider of credit card. We are not responsible for currency conversion or fees imposed by your credit card provider and any questions regarding such matters should be directed to them.

4. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

Cancellation fees for all Tours are charged as follows per person:

TOURS IN GENERAL:

Full payment is required to make a reservation for our group service tours and a 50% deposit is required for any private tours. 100% of that payment is refundable up to 15 days before the departure date of the trek / tour. We do not provide refunds for altitude sickness, food poisoning, family emergencies or any other reason given by the passenger. WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS. For this reason, travel insurance is strongly recommended.

 

COLCA CANYON TOURS:

Full payment is required to make a reservation for our tours and 50% deposit is required for any private tours. Your remaining balance is possible to pay the day before starting the tour. 80% of that payment is refundable up to 15 days before the departure date of the trek / tour. We do not provide refunds for altitude sickness, food poisoning, family emergencies or any other reason given by the passenger. WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS. For this reason, travel insurance is strongly recommended.

 

TOURS TO MACHU PICCHU:

A 50% deposit is required to reserve dates. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Your remaining balance is possible to pay the day before starting the tour. We do not provide refunds for altitude sickness, food poisoning, family emergencies or any other reason given by the passenger. WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS. For this reason, travel insurance is strongly recommended.

 

5. OPERATOR CANCELLATIONS

The Operator reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel any trip in case the weather or any other circumstance requires it. Once the trek has left Cusco, no part of the package payment is refundable in the event that an individual or group is unable to continue with the trek, for any reason. If the trip is canceled before departure, due to weather or any other circumstance, the client will receive another new travel date or a full refund through the same method paid. If the operator cancels the tour due to forces of nature or any other reason after the tour has departed, no refunds will be issued. Clients take full responsibility knowing that the operator cannot control the weather and there is always the possibility of taking the tour in rain, wind, hail or fog. The conditions can change at any time and without prior notice. If the operator needs to cancel the tour in the middle of the tour, no refunds will be provided.

6. DIETARY REQUIREMENTS:

While we try to accommodate most reported special dietary requirements, we work in an extremely isolated environment and this is not always possible. We must be informed of any dietary requirements prior to any tour or we may not be able to accommodate this need. If you have any life-threatening food allergies, you should carry the proper medical equipment in case a contamination reaction occurs.

7. DOCUMENTATION

Passengers must carry a valid passport, or travel document according to their nationality, according to the legal regulations required by Peru.

Passengers who hire our services as foreigners not domiciled in Peru, must send a copy of the immigration stamp with the date of entry into the country, which must not exceed the number of days according to the regulations in force for the exemption from VAT payment. Otherwise, you must pay the IGV on the total value of the contracted service.

For the cases of hiking and/or adventure tours, it is essential that clients fill out an affidavit before going on the tour.

For the cases of hiking and/or adventure tours, it is essential that clients over 65 years of age have a medical certificate of good health.

Family groups containing children must carry their passport or DNI, in case they travel alone with one of the parents or a proxy, they must present a notarial permit with the authorization of the parents. In case you have made the payment and do not present this documentation, the service will not be provided and you will be penalized with 100%.

8. CONFIRMATION EMAIL:

Once your payment is complete, a booking confirmation will be emailed to you which will include important details on what to expect, what you need to bring, what is supplied and where you need to be at what time. Be sure to read this information carefully to ensure you are properly prepared for your trip. You are responsible for ensuring that you are properly dressed and have the appropriate footwear to undertake the tour.

 

9. CHANGES IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Operator reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time without notifying customers. Any booking you make will be subject to the Terms and Conditions that apply at the time the booking is made and you are advised to read all of the Terms and Conditions carefully each time before making a booking.
